I was so proud to attend last night’s one-night-only concert performance of They’re Playing Our Song, at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College in New York City.  The evening starred Tony Award® winner Sutton Foster and Seth Rudetsky.  With a book by three-time Tony Award winner Neil Simon, music by Oscar and Tony Award winner Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Oscar and Grammy Award winner Carole Bayer Sager, it was a truly hilarious evening to benefit The Actors Fund.  Kevin Chamberlin, star of The Addams Family, introduced the evening, and the stars of the original 1979 production, Robert Klein and Lucie Arnaz, were in the audience, and joined us for the after-party with our major donors.  We send special thanks to Director/Choreographer Denis Jones and Musical Director Steve Freeman, as well as the full cast and creative team for making this such a successful evening for The Actors Fund!

The New York Premiere of “Expecting Mary”…

The New York Premiere of the new independent film Expecting Mary benefitted The Actors Fund this past Monday.  Stars Linda Gray, Della Reese and Oleysa Rulin, as well as Executive Producer Jim Casey and Producer Kim Waltrip joined our supporters at The Crosby Street Hotel for this exclusive screening and after-party.  We send our thanks to the stars of this film, and to Jim Casey for donating this special night.  I could not think of a better way to kick off our fall season of events.  It was truly a terrific night in support of the programs and services of The Actors Fund!
